Shamanism

Shamanism is not a ‘New Age’ trend or movement.  Rather, it is  an ‘Old Age’ methodology that is respected worldwide.

Shamanism is the most ancient spiritual practice known to humankind.   Based upon recorded archaeological evidence, it is believed by many anthropologists to have been in existence for 100,000 years.   The word ‘shaman’ derives from the Tungus tribe in Siberia.  The literal meaning of shaman is spiritual healer, or ‘one who sees in the dark.’   Shamanism is practiced worldwide, and in some indigenous cultures, is the primary form of healing for its tribe. Currently, shamanism is being woven into the Western world of Medicine as a respected modality to assist healing.

Mutual connection is a core belief in Shamanism.  People, nature, animals, the elements…we are  connection.  I believe deeply in this connection and how it impacts our lives on a daily basis.  There are basic healing practices in Shamanism that are used throughout the world that reach similar results.  I find this fascinating and affirming.

Soul Retrievals are a core piece of my private practice.  I experience Soul Retrievals as sacred ceremony, and ask that the work be honored and worked with not only in the session, but when one goes out into the world. I am honored to journey of behalf of my students, as I feel that reconnecting with our innate sense of inner peace and stillness is a  true gift.  I also enjoy teaching groups to journey to further their work within themselves and within the natural world.   To learn more about Shamanism, please visit www.sandraingerman.com .  You will find me listed there as a Practitioner and Teacher.
